Taipan ECU
The ECUs designed and developed for the motorcross world
Taipan and Taipan Y are the brand-new aftermarket plug & play ECUs created by AiM, exclusively designed for off-road motorcycles. Thanks to their high technology 32-bit core, they represent an important step forward to improve the performances of your motorcycle, without sacrificing reliability and smoothness.
High Technology
Engine control requires precision. At 20,000 RPM the Taipan ECU guarantees a precision of 1/10 of degree: this means an accuracy within 0.8 µsec for turning the spark on.
UC Bridge Tuner
Using our UC Bridge Tuner, you can create different maps, configurations and strategies designed specifically for your bike. Tuner License: This is the Tuner that is required to configure the unprogrammed Taipan ECU.
Handlebar Switch
You can also add the Aim Handlebar Switch, the ultimate tool for bike customisation. It includes 2 pushbuttons, 10 LEDs, and controls up to 5 maps, traction, fuel, and launch control. It also doubles as a shift light module too.
Compatible with Yamaha Only
The Taipan Y is tailored for Yamaha motorcycles, optimising performance and sound with precision engineering and durable materials, offering riders a premium aftermarket upgrade.
The Most Compact yet Versatile ECU in the Motocross World
Introducing the new AiM Taipan Y V2 ECU, designed also only for Yamaha motocross bikes from 2023. Compact yet versatile, it features dual 0-5V analogue inputs, an extra injector driver, and a 1A low-side driver. With two CAN Bus connections, waterproof connectors, and low power consumption (150 mA), it's perfect for automotive and racing needs.
Advanced Base Map
A base map that immediately makes the bike perform more efficiently than the OEM control units would.
Multiple Maps
The Taipan can manage up to five maps that can be selected both by OEM switches (Honda, Husqvarna, KTM) or even more easily by the AiM Handle Bar Switch.
Advanced Strategies
Strategies can be configured for second injectors, quick shift, launch control, traction control and all the important parameters that a rider needs.
